India\u2019s wires and cables market has grown quickly.<\/p>\n

The power transmission cables hold the largest share of this market<\/mark>, at 43% to 45% in FY26. The conductor segment is also growing as India adds transmission lines and replaces ageing conductors with high-temperature low-sag variants.<\/p>\n

Exports of wires and cables have grown at a 33% CAGR to \u20b917,800 Cr in FY26.<\/p>\n

Lumino Industries sits at the intersection of\u00a0manufacturing these wires and executing EPC<\/mark>\u00a0contracts that consume those very products (wires).<\/p>\n

Business Model Explained<\/h2>\n

Lumino Industries runs two segments:\u00a0<\/strong>manufacturing and EPC<\/mark><\/p>\n

The manufacturing segment makes three product lines:<\/strong>
\n1.\u00a0Aluminium conductors<\/mark>, used on overhead transmission and distribution lines<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Power cables<\/mark>, used in substations, industrial plants and railway signalling<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Electrical wires<\/mark>, sold under the Lumicon brand for house wiring.<\/p>\n

Manufacturing takes place at two facilities in Howrah, West Bengal. A third facility is under construction which will widen the product range to high voltage cables, solar cables and railway signalling cable.<\/p>\n

The company expects commercial production to begin in the second half of FY27.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The EPC segment executes six kinds of projects across<\/strong>:
\nPower transmission and distribution, EHV substations, HTLS re-conductoring, railway electrification, solar power and water management.<\/p>\n

The two segments are backward integrated.<\/mark><\/p>\n

Its customers are mostly government entities. While this dependence is easing, they still accounted for nearly half of the revenue in FY26.<\/p>\n
