Introduction<\/h2>\n

Indo-MIM Limited makes small, high-precision metal parts like triggers for firearms, housings for surgical staplers, or fuel system components for cars.<\/mark>\u00a0They do so using a process called Metal Injection Molding (MIM), turning metal powder into finished parts at a very large scale that only a few competitors can match.<\/p>\n

Indo-MIM holds a\u00a0~7% share of the global MIM market<\/strong>\u00a0and are actually the largest makers of precision engineering components using MIM technology by revenue, and has led the industry for six straight years, according to a Frost & Sullivan report commissioned by the company.<\/p>\n

It operates\u00a015 manufacturing facilities<\/strong>\u00a0across India, the United States, the United Kingdom and Mexico, and served more than\u00a01,100 customers<\/strong>\u00a0in FY26.<\/p>\n

The Business Model<\/h2>\n

Indo-MIM operates in five product groups:
\n1.\u00a0Automotive\u00a0<\/strong>(fuel systems, powertrains, etc)
\n2.\u00a0Defence\u00a0<\/strong>(firearm components like triggers and sights)
\n3.\u00a0Medical\u00a0<\/strong>(surgical\/orthopaedic parts)
\n4.\u00a0Consumer\u00a0<\/strong>(fashion, phone components)
\n5.\u00a0Aerospace\u00a0<\/strong>(housings, adaptors, brackets).<\/p>\n

It manufactured over\u00a0<\/mark>9,000 distinct products<\/mark><\/strong>\u00a0in Fiscal 2026.<\/mark><\/p>\n

The manufacturing process runs in three core steps.<\/p>\n

Compounding\u00a0<\/strong>mixes metal powder with polymer binder into a consistent feedstock.<\/p>\n

Injection molding\u00a0<\/strong>shapes that feedstock into the rough part geometry using automated, closed-loop machines.<\/p>\n

Debinding and sintering\u00a0<\/strong>then remove the binder and fuse the metal particles under heat, producing the finished part.<\/p>\n

Indo-MIM sells on a purchase order basis. It does not hold long-term supply contracts with fixed volumes. Revenue depends on repeat business rather than contractual commitments.\u00a0In fact, repeat customers contributed ~<\/mark>92% of revenue<\/mark><\/strong>\u00a0in FY26.<\/mark><\/p>\n

The company runs 15 manufacturing facilities: six in India, six in the US, two in the UK, and one in Mexico.<\/p>\n

This model lets it serve locally as well as globally, and the manufacturing process itself is broadly fungible across product categories.<\/p>\n

  • On a similar note, adjusted EBITDA per part improved from \u20b930 to \u20b938 across FY24-26.<\/li>\n
  • Total parts manufactured itself fell from 316 million in FY5 to 280 million in FY26.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          The Financials<\/h2>\n

          • Revenue from Operations<\/strong>\u00a0climbed from \u20b92,870 Cr to \u20b94,193 Cr from FY24 to FY26, as two Indo-MIM got two new large domestic customers and revenue from sale of powder, tools, etc also grew.<\/li>\n
          • Finance Costs<\/strong>\u00a0nearly doubled, from \u20b987 Cr in FY24 to \u20b9167 Cr in FY26, a CAGR of ~39%. Yet, debt to equity fell from 0.53x in FY24 to 0.39x in FY26.<\/li>\n
          • Profit After Tax\u00a0<\/strong>rose 88% in two years, from \u20b9284 Cr in FY24 to \u20b9534 Cr in FY26, but PAT Margins stalled in FY26, as rising Finance Costs ate into gains.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            • Indo-MIM\u2019s EBITDA margin of 26% is nearly 11% above Jiangsu Gian\u2019s, despite both companies competing in the same MIM industry.<\/li>\n
            • Indo-MIM\u2019s PAT Margin of 13% is also more than five times Jiangsu Gian\u2019s 2%, on revenue about 3% higher than its peer\u2019s.<\/li>\n
            • One important thing to note is also that this comparison rests on a single global peer, since the company states no listed Indian business is directly comparable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Key Risks<\/h2>\n

              • Customer concentration without contractual protection.<\/strong>\u00a0Indo-MIM\u2019s top 10 customers contributed 38% of FY26 revenue, and still, Indo-MIM has no long-term contracts with any of its customers. Orders are placed on a purchase order basis, and customers can shift to other suppliers without cause and without compensation.<\/li>\n
              • Export and tariff exposure.<\/strong>\u00a077% of FY26 revenue came from outside India, mainly North America and Europe. Any increase in import duties on Indian automotive components is a risk to its business in a very large market.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                Indo-MIM is one of the largest metal injection molding manufacturers in the world, and its financials stand on a base of expanding EBITDA margins, lower leverage, and diversification from its core businesses into sale of goods.
